Call for Papers: NAG Conference 2017

“Proving our worth: Evidence and Data in Acquisitions”

Librarians: Do you have a great piece of work that you have done this year to share?

Do you have a great example of using data to help your purchasing decisions?
Do you have a great tool that you use that you could share with others?
How cost effective is your library service and how does data help you prove that?
How are you meeting the needs of your customer?
How do you ensure your spend is equivalent to customer needs?
Can you tell us a story of how your library acquisitions have helped your customer?
How have you used specific collections to enhance the user experience?

If you can answer any of these questions with a paper or an interactive workshop, please email us with your suggestion for a paper for #NAG17 which this year will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds on 6-7th November 2017.  We expect around a hundred delegates from academic and public libraries alongside suppliers and publishers so this is a great opportunity to share your successes with a wider library audience.

All speakers receive a full free two-day conference place (worth over £400) including overnight accommodation, all meals including the gala dinner plus agreed travel expenses.  Speakers are not required to be NAG members.  Papers should be 30 minutes long and workshops are 60 minutes (workshops are repeated on both days).  Please state if you can only attend one day of the conference along with 300-500 words outlining your suggested paper or workshop.

Deadline is 1st March 2017 and applicants will be informed by 20th March 2017.
Discounted early bird bookings for #NAG17 will open in February – please email us if you would like to be sent more information.

Thanks,

Jennie and the Conference Team
