Programme
The day will give an overview of the workflow/supply chain for ebooks – from selection to promotion and monitoring of usage. It will cover current practice in different institutions, and will include input from a consortium. How are libraries finding titles? Is it practical to allow users greater involvement in what we buy? Can they make the purchase fit into their existing print workflow? Who places the orders? How do they make them available to users?
Part of the day will be a structured discussion in small groups to take advantage of the experience of attendees as well as of speakers, using topics identified by the audience. Take the opportunity to find out how to get around issues you struggle with yourself!
