WELCOME TO THE NEW AND IMPROVED NAG WEBSITE!!
The NAG website has been given a much needed facelift with the aim of making the website more accessible, easier to use and a “must-have” tool in your working life.
Along with the obvious visual improvements, there are a number of significant changes which enhance the value of using the NAG website.
News
NAG News will become an online service, drawing on up-to-the-minute news from all areas of the industry to provide a comprehensive reference for busy library professionals and suppliers. Access to full stories is available to all NAG members.
Events
Information and booking arrangements for all events hosted by NAG will be made available on the website. Access to speakers notes and presentations will be made available to those who have attended the events.
Publications
NAG produces a range of very useful and informative publications which can be used by library professionals when tackling such diverse topics as the tender process or stock management.
In conjunction with the Museums, Library and Arts Council, NAG has produced two free Best Practice publications, Servicing Guidelines and Supply Specification Guidelines, which are available for free download from the website.
Directory
The NAG Directory is a comprehensive database of public and academic library information and contacts and is collated and maintained on your behalf by the NAG organisation.
Now available online to those who subscribe to the Directory, the benefits are continual updates and access to multiple personnel within your organisation.
Forum
The NAG Forum is a new service which will allow NAG members to exchange views and opinions and to share experiences across all library sectors.
NAG feels that the Forum will produce some lively debates and actively encourages all to participate in making the Forum a success.
Taking Stock
Taking Stock will continue to be produced in paper form but will also be made available online to NAG members. This will act as an online repository allowing easy access to old issues.
Acquisitions Update
The Aquisitions Update section of the NAG website provides a regularly updated list of newly published titles which will be of interest to acquisition librarians across all sectors.
Access
Access to certain sections of the website will be by password only. NAG members for whom we have, or can obtain email contact details, are being supplied with their username and password via email.
