‘Negotiating the future: Collection Development through working with others’

The sixth NAG Collection Development seminar for academic libraries took place on Wednesday 18th May at the Studio in Birmingham and from the early delegate feedback it would seem that the combination of presentations, ample time for networking plus group break out sessions was very popular. Delegates have also given very positive feedback about the use of Glisser to share slides and add interactivity. The theme of this year’s seminar was “Negotiating the future: Collection Development through working with others”. This theme was in response to NAG member and delegate feedback as evidence based acquisitions and negotiating skills become ever more central to their roles in academic libraries.
