You are very welcome to contact any member of the Committee via the NAG Office. Truly representative of NAG's diverse membership they work in and have experience of public and academic libraries; public and academic library supply; publishing; web design; RFID provision; systems supply; and bibliographical record provision.

And if you feel you have a contribution to make, and would like to join the Committee, nominations are now open for the 2011 elections.

The NAG Constitution provides for a Committee of a maximum of twelve members.  Of these at least one, and not more than four, shall be from each of the following employment categories: academic libraries, public libraries, other libraries or information units, publishing, and library supply (materials, data or systems).  Committee members are elected for a three year term. There are currently up to 4 places available on the Committee to serve, in the first instance, for three years from 1st November 2011.  Those elected can be from all employment categories as listed above. Given the affiliations of the current Committee, newly elected members may not on this occasion exceed a maximum within each category of: two public librarians, two publishers, one academic librarian, three from library supply or four from other libraries or information units. Valid nominations require a proposer (who may be the nominee) a seconder and the counter-signature of the nominee.  All parties must be in current membership of NAG, either personal or corporate.  Nominations must be made in the format given in the nomination papers, or in an electronic copy available from nag1@btconnect.com.  All nominations must be received by post, fax or email, addressed to the Secretary at the address shown above, not later than Friday 22nd July 2011.
