How we do it - Education and Training
-
Annual conference - lively and informative covering timely and relevant issues. Papers are given by experts in their field of interest. Workshops are lively and interactive and address topical issues. Opportunities for networking, and learning from colleagues from all sectors in a pleasant, sociable environment. Cost of attendance is kept low, venues are accessible, superb two day experience
-
Seminars - focus on current hot topics, learn about recent developments, from the people in the know. Network with other delegates, benefit from face to face exchange of information, and learning opportunities. Venues throughout the UK to allow ease of access.
-
Consultancy - cost-effective training and guidance tailored to your individual requirements. Past examples have included the very successful bespoke sessions delivered to the Northern Ireland Consortium on contract and supply chain management in early 2008 and prior to that on stock management in late 2006. During the early months of 2009 Welsh Libraries will be joining forces to hear about EDI- the electronic supply chain together with additional sessions on supplier specification. Such training which can be targeted to individual authorities, consortia, and regional hubs brings added benefits including specific applications, practical hands-on sessions etc as well as purely practical considerations such as ease of travel to minimise time lost in the workplace, opportunities for local networking and sharing expertise.
